Hi folks
My brother in the UK just told me about a remake of
The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper album. It was recorded by
Geoff Emerick on the original Studer J37s and vintage
EMI desk, with current (mostly British) bands.
A documentary was aired over there, and it seems that
most of it is available on YouTube. Check out the
Kaiser Chiefs on this clip. Watch the whole thing -
some great shots of the J37 on and off throughout, and
some interesting comments from the band comparing
recording on Pro-Tools vs. analogue 4 track.

Search around on YouTube and you should be able to
find the rest of the documentary.
Have fun.
